The past year has seen escalating tensions between China and Australia, including clashes between their navies and air forces. Why is China at loggerheads with Australia? And how far will they go?

Yes! And all Aussies will be sentenced to a lifetime diet of stir-fried mutton!
China is at loggerheads with any country that won't roll over and play dead on their command. China is currently seizing the operation of the port of Nairobi, Kenya, for the failure of the Kenyan government to pay back loans it took from China. Other African countries are in the same boat (no pun intended).
Unfortunately, as Confucius said: "giving loans to failing countries is quick way to go broke yourself!"

It's already done. The statistic for Sydney CBD residential occupancy is in excess 90% Chinese according to the last Census! It's really sad when your once traditional Italian / Greek corner milk bar or fish and chip shop is now owned by Chinese, someone really needs to teach them how to make decent burgers! I live in rural NSW we've had an invasion of city based Chinese labourers come to work on local projects lately. The other day we caught one in the local Woolies buying up all the baby formula on the way out of town, girls told us effectively it covers their petrol money for the long haul back to Sydney!

Which country has more overseas military bases than everyone else combined? More troops deployed outside their own borders occupying other nations than everyone else combined? Where is the home of McDonalds, KFC, Coke, Hungry Jacks etc etc that we see everywhere in Oz and which is fueling our obesity epidemic? Who is the biggest foreign investor in Oz (10X China) ? We are a part of the US Empire. Before that we were part of the British Empire. In the future we might be part of the Chinese Empire. Seems to be part of the National Psyche here! (Just look at our flag - It still has the flag of our former masters on it. We should have put the stars and stripes up in the top corner in 1945 out of respect. Maybe in 2050 we could put that Red China flag up there.)

Historically the Chinese have created and fed some of the most corrupt institutions on the planet, it's why Australian Politicians partner so well with them! I'm hoping when they come they bring tens of thousands of AK 47 rifles for us! We'll either be able to buy them cheap from corrupt authorities on both sides or pick them up from their dead soldiers!

The front page of yesterdays paper I saw at the post office was "PENTAGON WARNS AUSTRALIA TO PATROL MORE IN SOUTH CHINA SEA" or something close to that. So things are really stepping up with Chinas expansion in the region. The other day China took ownership of the trading port in Kenya after they defaulted on their loans to china, just like they are doing to places all over the world, especially a lot of ports and small island nations such as PNG, Maldives etc meanwhile building new "scientific bases" in Antarctica with runways inside the Australia zone. If the government is too blind or has been paid off too much to realise that China is building staging posts around the world that have navy and air force base/refueling depots. And each of the places they are targeting with these loans that they know the govs in the regions will never repay on because they are usually 3rd world countries and or have a very low GDP income to afford these high priced infrastructure loans and china get brand new ports/airports ready for them to use for their military forces. In the meantime our gov is only concerned about not having enough females in the ADF and other socialist destabilizing activities lead by the left including Labor (who Bill Shorten is a leading member of the Fabian Society which is a pro UN "secret society" aimed at bringing socialism in by stealth) 2 yrs ago I wouldn't have given a damn about politics, but now that I'm involved in the political game, it's very easy to see just how corrupt all levels of government are on all sides and how most of them answer to some powerful very rich person on the other side of the world or to the NWG UN and or have their arm twisted by the UN by past governments such as when Labor signed the Lima Agreement that put an end to the Australian manufacturing sector.

Just AK's? I'd like some RPG's and Claymore and Stinger equivalents.

They sink the port? lol...actually not funny...I have seen places throughout the world where ownership has just been walked away from (think 70% of Detroit here!)...it subsequently sits and rots until its knocked down...

They will probably sell it on to another Chinese-owned company in a sweetheart deal. Hopefully the tax man and other govt depts keep a close eye on this, and make sure that they're paying all taxes, fees etc (Chinese businessmen are renowned for tax dodging wherever they operate), and that it can't be sold on to another Chinese company. The Chinese govt would no doubt complain, stamp its feet and make threats if that happened, but everyone knows there is no way they would ever allow any foreign companies to own or even operate Chinese infrastructure. I wish the bloody Australian govt would put more money into developing markets for Aussie goods in the rest of Asia, South America etc, rather than be beholden to China and their demands.

20-30 years ago it was the Japanese that were buying everything up and were the threat, till their economy failed. Chinese debt based economy in on brink of failure. Will they go the route of the Japanese or start a war - most wars are started due to economic issues.
It was announced today that China has started sea trials of their second aircraft carrier.. That gives them a lot of reach all over the world and would be problematic for Australia if war broke out.

I'm amazed this placed hasn't been hit by Chinese Student hackers yet! So I'm told much Pro-Chinese commentary and Anti-China hacking (sabotage) on the web these days comes from Chinese University Students. They don't have any problems registering online in the Country they are "studying" in and thus become "Useful Idiots" in service of the motherland.

There is not much to hack on this site, all posts are available,a few 'crazy' preppers with no major strategic business interests are not much on hackers radar. Then again they might of already hack the site and got all the members emails etc...... The info is of little use - there is no banking details etc..

Free board and a cash allowance in return for cooking, cleaning and 'other' duties. Keys to the AC Cobra and Mustang not included. OMG Frosty!...Thats how they get into your firebase!...
