... yep ... a parang is the ideal tool for driving in nails! These videos are always interesting food for thought. Catchy tune too! I'm thinking with a 44 gallon drum, bungee cord and star pickets we could scale this thing up and catch an emu!

Emu gives (most) white fellas sloppy guts. Saw it a couple of times and some of my aboriginal friends got immense delight in facilitating this cleansing.

I presume you can, will be eating emu ?? Emu have a very lean and generally tough meat. Everytime we saw one while out hunting ... we kept searching for something else. As far as Australian native animal meats go the very best ones to eat are Bustard, Sand Goanna and sea turtle. Sadly/fortunately only the natives can hunt them legally as they are protected/endangered species. Roo and wombat are ok-ish ... but I prefer wild camel.

-------- I suspect you are both blessed and cursed with wild, feral animals.. That being the camel like said, horse, and bull. Crocodile also. Each in there own region, but none the less "useful" depending where you are..
Along with wild game here in the north. Moose, bear, some caribou, elk and deer. The lower province also has wild horse.. For my thinking too many North American people dismiss wild game, and horse as food sources.. Especially horse.. I would not be afraid to try, use horse occasionally, and especially when in a bind.. Like anything, I'm sure there is a bit of learning curve of how to use it best to individual taste..
When the type that would raise the biggest fuss over something like horse or you name it, run out of tofu.... well.... they may think different..
Somewhere we have a book on how to make sausage from most any meat in the world..
