Interesting. Kind of hippy really: attempting to escape the world by moving to an underground commune.
Also ... the pics of the inside look like a Disneyland version of suburbia.

Naivete on display? The civil unrest and Government induced famines/relocations of the communist revolution in Russia lasted for 2 decades. How long has Venezuela been boiling for now? How long do most major civil unrest and upheavals go on for? Locking oneself away in a bunker complex and hoping the rest of the world will fix/destroy itself in a few weeks or months so one can emerge triumphant into a Brave New World is probably unrealistic.
If the unrest is expected to be short perhaps one is better off defending ones usual place of residence?

Absolutely. I've met people with this attitude before, but they're the same folks who have a meltdown when their iPhone loses signal for three minutes.
