Have been watching the deteriorating blackouts and overall situation in Venezuela for a while now. Way to go from a leading economy to trashed one. That aside it's interesting to see the stories of how ordinary people have had to adapt to the situation and resort to various criminal activities to stay alive (often being killed as a result).

From what I read: Whilst they were doing a fair job of damaging their economy on their own ... their situation in last couple of years is being made much worse by US economic warfare. |

Going socialist obviously wasn't good for Venezuela and the diplomatic/trade sanctions compounded their issues. I guess since the US has cut diplomatic ties with Venezuela they won't really care about Venezuela's new Russian aid  In fact it might be handy for Trump because it's a much shorter flight time from the US to Venezuela if he wants to catch up with his buddy Vlad.  (Thats tongue in cheek humour btw) |
