I wish I owned a Russian Dacha in Siberia or an Estancia in Patagonia plus have a million US Dollars in the bank now that's a retirement plan! Come on mate, your place is pretty awesome. Just need to clean out the latte sippers

I wish I owned a Russian Dacha in Siberia or an Estancia in Patagonia plus have a million US Dollars in the bank now that's a retirement plan! There's not much standing in the way of Part A of your ideal plan.
I got an uncle who lives in a walled rural villa in the Philippines. Filipino wife, one grown up kid, two staff, fully self sufficient in livestock and fruit and veg. Big-ass security. All that paid for with his Dutch Railways super plan after working for 40 years in middle management. He's been there since the early 2000's. I always wondered if he'd go back to Europe when he got real old ... but not so far. He's still there and now in his late 70's.
Its funny you say that ate. my father lived and worked in Mexico from 97 till last year when he passed away at the ripe old age of 84 last year just before Christmas he only retired a year ago i asked him if he wanted to come back to Australia for his winter years and well he wasn't interested in his own words "why would i do that I've survived wars , bombings , being shot being beaten and held captive by hostile agents hell i even got kidnapped once here in mexico but none of that changes the fact my sands are running low so i either die surrounded by friends in mexico or a bunch of strangers in Australia so you might find your uncle feels the same
