The 1500 white farmers losing their property in Sth Africa are being welcomed in Russia...these productive people will soon make the most of what is offered in their new home, and Russia will be the richer and better off with these proven hard working people who can make farming a profitable business...before long these farmers who are leaving without compensation for their land/business/vehicles/farm equipment, will be able to sustain themselves from the small plot of land, ranging up to/over 2 acres, and still have time to find a new farm to work/own/run into their future.
Our loss, as well as that of Sth Africa, will be Russia's gain.
Glad someone had the gumption to offer them a place to migrate to.

It's a shame that the South African government would repeat what is alleged to have occurred to their own ancestors to the intergenerational children of white farmers, I hope they can endure these times just as well as they endured hardships before and am grateful that Russia offered them land so that they may continue to reap what they sow.
But on the other hand I'm ashamed it had to come to Russia offering sanctuary, nobody should have to leave their homes whether they are white, black or yellow.

I wish I owned a Russian Dacha in Siberia or an Estancia in Patagonia plus have a million US Dollars in the bank now that's a retirement plan!

I got an uncle who lives in a walled rural villa in the Philippines. Filipino wife, one grown up kid, two staff, fully self sufficient in livestock and fruit and veg. Big-ass security. All that paid for with his Dutch Railways super plan after working for 40 years in middle management. He's been there since the early 2000's. I always wondered if he'd go back to Europe when he got real old ... but not so far. He's still there and now in his late 70's.
