Oz Political Survival Plan:=
1. Anning's Conservative National Party
2. One Nation
3. LDP
4. Shooters Fishers
5. Every other right wing party
6. LNP
7. Labor
8. Greens
Can anyone suggest a better route than this one?

As a lesbian I'd never vote for any of the conservatives who denied my partner and I the right to marry (because clearly my union with her makes the country so much worse off -not). Anning is one of those people, hence my voting plan won't be quite the same as yours. I wish SFF were running lower house candidates in my area - but they are not. I will vote for them in the upper house but wont follow their voting card because it preferences conservatives.

I'd vote the LDP above the SFFP. LDP have much more liberal firearm policies than the NSW Shooters, who want to maintain existing regulations.
Milspec, I'm probably on the right side of politics, but I still voted Yes. I support the same sex community's right to legal marriage. I just wish a greater part of that community supported my right to own firearms.

I'm not interested in what LGBT do with their lives, it's their choice and not my business, what I do care about though is their usually very left politics and how they aggressively project this upon others! They will never concede your right to own firearms mate irrespective of how you voted with same sex. That wasn't aimed at you either milspec, far from it, just a general observation.

Pleased to hear it Frostbite. I think there is a tendency to lump the majority of LGBT into the far left because a lot of visible and vocal LGBT far left activists get the attention (sadly). In my experience there are also a lot of centre aligned LGBT people out there getting on with their lives like ordinary citizens, and a number of them are shooters too. It's not all that different from preppers being considered crazies because of the views of a few extremists. At the end of the day I'd like to see the not just broader population having a broader appreciation of gun controls on LAFO and how they do and do not impact public safety and criminal use of firearms. Not holding my breath for that one though.
@noreseman - Ack, there is the left wing greens party ( we don't support it BTW) it undoubtedly has a good proportion of LGBT types in it (I don't know or care) - it is their policy and behaviour I do not like, hence we do not vote for them. That said it is a mistake to assume that the entire LGBT community shares the views of the Greens. Whilst I know my fair share of lefty, radical LGBT types, I also know plenty of others in mainstream life (including the military of course) and their political interests are the same as everyone else in the mainstream - aka how to have a better quality of life and prosperity.
Your point about political groups pushing views upon others is exactly what I was talking about with conservatives denying marriage equality.
I thought I'd take a moment to share these views in what I hope is a non confrontational manner, as I'm mindful that it is not often the case that LGBT views are voiced in a right leaning forum which I'm happy to be a part of.

milspec Yes it runs both ways Left and Right! I guess I'm just a little jaded with the whole SJW / Left position:- "You have the right to say what you want as long as we agree with what you say!" Or the classic "We don't agree with what you say so we will do our best to shut you down!"

For the senate you only have to number 1-6 above the line.
Just as long as there is no ALP/LNP/Greens/AJP/Hinch/Sex party/any other left wing/animal libber group. Watch out for One Nation as well, they are currently imploding (again)and have changed their stance on firearms for the worse since Mark Latham became the senior man. Also one nation gave all their votes to Labor in the last Qld election leading to a majority labor government :angry face:
Don't forget the Katter party as well for a pro gun/farmer party

I have always voted mainstream to prevent labour from getting in. Have little idea what goes on elsewhere, don’t watch TV, listen to radio occasionally while driving which is all socialist.
I occasionally get some OneNation FB posts, was surprised that Shooters and fishers did so well in the NSW election. One political analyst I was listening to on radio said there would be less independents in the upcoming election.
No idea where to vote, Newcastle area is so left no chance in lower house. Might vote one nation to send a message to liberals that they need to scale back.

I just wish there was a proper libertarian party...
I don't care who you are, I don't care where you come from, I don't care who you sleep with, and I don't care what you do with your life. As long as you don't tubesteak up anyone else's life, you're good. Let me get on with my life, you get on with yours, and we're both happy. Remove the warning signs and let nature take care of the idiots.
Unfortunately politicians can't see the personal politican gain for themselves in any of this.

Great summary ... don't mess up anyone else's life and get on with your own. ... wouldn't that be nirvana.

The Politicians need to be able to sit in Parliament day in day out to create new laws of the most utterly ridiculous kind otherwise they don't make a "profit". PROBLEM=REACTION=SOLUTION!
