"Coyote Brown" and "Flat Dark Earth" or similar are two of my all-time favourite colours for hunting! I'm not really a "camo person" and much prefer plain earthy colours. One of the most effective shades was the classic South African "Nutria Brown" especially when washed and worn and faded. That stuff was shit hot for its specific operational environment. Slight variation in shades in shirts /pants / field gear / webbing etc enhanced the effect. I used plain brown attire throughout my desert roaming years. The close range body count seemed to justify the choice. I suspect grey works well too. So many tree trunks/branches/twigs in Oz are grey. A lot of native animals have adopted grey as their blending colour. I'm working on a set of cheap, used but high quality clothes in that line too.

While waiting for a repair job to be completed I wandered into a 2nd hand shop. I picked up another pair of near new, high quality outdoor trousers for $5 ... a nice Ranger Green this time. Blends in really well with the mallee scrub here. Must have saved at least $95 on that buy.
