Army couldn't manage a good time in a gunshop.
My daughter was a highly skilled operator based in Brisbane when Army told her she was being posted to Darwin for 3 years.
'I ain't going' she said.
'yes you are' Army said.
' see ya, I've just accepted a job with an Israeli military contractor in Brisbane, with a massive pay rise' she said.
2 years later Army begged her to come back, said she could choose whatever posting she wanted, because they were chronically short of people with her skill set. She said unless they pay privates $150k a year they can get stuffed.

Proper capitalism in action. The market decides pay rates. Good on her.
Maybe we should privatise the ADF. Let Israel run it. Then we'd have nukes.
