I found this series on youtube today, and damn it is HILARIOUS But watching it, I also picked up a lot of outback survival ideas that the guys do during their crazy antics using all sorts of random objects.
If not for the few tactics I saw, watch it for the endless laughs from this group of tight mates living in Arnhem Land
There are a bunch of webisodes but this one below is the first season put into 1 video.

there was a series called bush mechanics as well, maybe the same guys

Bush mechanics were from Yuendumu in the Tanami. I worked with some of them many years ago. Out there truth was stranger than fiction.

The producer/camera man was behind the Bush Mechanics series as well. I watched a "behind the scenes" thing on Black As tonight and it went into the decades of work this cameraman has done working with the remote aboriginal communities

That's a pretty entertaining movie (from what I've watched so far), reminds me of how my partner tackles 'stuff'.
