Not essential but will help, the website is currently missing a meta description and meta keywords.
Is it possible to add a link on the homepage to your facebook page so people easily can follow the forums facebook page?
Important: There currently is no H1 tag for the homepage. It would help to add a Heading H1 tag on the homepage for either the name of the forum or the main keyword you want to be found for in google, If you do not have the ability in the formatting toolbar to change the text to "Heading 1" then the html to do the same thing is <H1> and then after the word phrase </H1> In my own experience I have found just having a H1 tag on your pages main heading will greatly help being found in google for that word.
After that just try to get some other websites to have links to this one. Some suggested sites for links: If you intend on making any of your own videos, have a youtube channel with links pointing here.
Create a Google + account, have a Google + page (similar to facebook page)
Create an ad on gumtree to promote the forum.
Do this and the forum will be on it's way to being on equal grounds or better with other forums out there.

I'm not sure if Wayne has any actual control over the coding of the forum. ProBoards may monitor that completely.

I have put an email to Proboards re the coding, i'll let you know how i go. Completely agree with the rest. Have a few things on the go at present that will cover most you have suggested. Keeping in mind too, this is literally our second full day of trading...early days. I want to ensure the forum runs smoothly with no glitches, then i will work on building it up! Thanks again for the feedback!

To add to the above, i do not want to be on equal grounds with other sites, im aiming for this to be the #1 preparedness site in Au.

Hi, any chance we can have a time that the shoutbox is done? Makes it easier to know who was on last and how long ago a message was sent.

Sorry, forgot another - any chance there can be a symbol to say we have replied to a post?? Had to go through the Intro one by one to see where I have been?

I think the notifications option is dope, I've never seen it on a proboards set up before (although I haven't been on a proboards forum for years now).
Can you possibly edit the profile displays in threads to show our location as well as post count, avatar, etc? Even if people can just put their state it would help to gauge where everyone is.

I did have this done, but I accidentally mucked up something else today when playing around with the forum and had to reset it to default settings. I know how to do it now though and will code it again when I get the all clear from other admins. Really easy to do though, so will add them onto the mini-profiles asap Thanks for the input.
