What I find interesting in this situation is that the commander of the RG was in the Iraqi capital in the first place. He must have been invited in by the Iraqi leaders and felt some particular matter important enough to be there. This is a high level player, not a lesser minion, so a big deal between Iran and Iraq must be in the offing?

He'd be there working with Shiite militia. The same ones who attacked the Americans recently at their 'protest'.

This guy would be way too far up the food chain to be messing around 'in person' with trivial matters such as terror attacks or arms supply deals. He's got oodles of minions for those kinds of tasks.
Settling a final agreement of very large proportions with Iraqi heads of state I suspect. Maybe Iraq will split and part of it is seeking to be a full blown satellite state of Iran.

I figured that particular strike outcome was a bit too much of a coincidence in taking out the Iranian General. Now I just heard Trump acknowledge that taking him out was intentional/preemptive.

The Shiite continues to hit the fan in Baghdad. Trump just whacked 6 more high level bad guys with missile strikes.

I'm curious if China will make some sort of sneaky move once the US gets bogged down over Iran

I'll bet there are plenty of residents in the USA who are keen to give it a go ...
They still haven't got Salman Rushdies head on a stick yet! And that challenge was sent out by old mate Hiya-tool-ha in 1989!

Probably a good time to top off fuel reserves. This might be a Franz Ferdinand moment in history. Be interesting to see what position Vlad the Lad takes and also China - given they both trade and deal with Iran. And even Europe for that matter.

Even though its been put down to an engine fire I'm sure the media will find a way to blame those pesky Russians whoops I mean Iranians the truth is always the first casualty when there's a need for a distraction
