A young person who knows how to navigate modern electronic, internet media is telling me there is an article on a site called REDDIT.... saying the prime minister called for public donations to help fight the fires. As it turns out the money supposedly has gone, is going to the liberal party there....
Now I did try, but this is about the only thing I could find at REDDIT Australia. Unfortunately this is about as far as I could get before getting hopelessly lost in computer stuff WAY over my head.
Other than it seems during all this crisis, the pm (?) has left the country to Hawaii then who knows where. On some kind of climate change (?) agenda ?? For God sake tell me this isn't true....

Reddit is very much Labor Party territory, so be very wary of anything political on there.

Or in CA one of the side parties like the NDP or Green ?? Labor are the Democrats, Libs are watered down Republicans. Greens are watermelons - Green on the outside, Red in the middle.

Or in CA one of the side parties like the NDP or Green ?? Labour here is similar to Trudeu's Liberals in Canada. Liberals here are more like Harper. Confusing, I know...
