Mate they are full of shit! Constantly we in the rest of the Western World have to listen to yanks mouth off about how their 2nd Amendment rights protect them from their Tyrannical Government and we've been waiting now for 200 hundred years to see them actually rise up and use their firearms against their seriously Tyrannical Government. Looking from the outside in their so called freedom is an absolute fantasy but they are just too stupid to see it! Just look at what their LEOs get away with against Law Abiding Citizens! Just look at what their Feds and Spooks get away with against their citizens like for farksake they "disappear" them and then farken kill em no problem! The surveillance on em is unbelievable though we are not far behind except our Feds are more concerned with which day of next week they'll chuck a sickie on taxpayer coin! Wake me up when the shooting actually starts! |

Australians did nothing when guns were confiscated... There has been a lot of fight back in the US over gun laws - they put Trump in power. The 2014 Bundy ranch was an example where the gov backed down due to militias. At Bundy Ranch the same crowd sans weapons would've had the same effect! The first militia nob who opened fire would've resulted in everyone being mown down by the Feds with the Law being on their side not the militia!
I actually believe the Militia would've been far more effective if they went there unarmed!! Many in that crowd of civilians were not armed.
Imagine if that citizen group (completely unarmed) surged forward chanting "Shoot Us!" "Shoot Us!" or something similar that would've got even stronger attention from World Media!! The Gooberment would've stood down the Fed stormtroopers that quick it would've been funny as all fark to see!

Unarmed civilians are easy to control that is why guns are always the first thing confiscated prior to establishing a dictatorship.
A few sun grenades and tear gas, rubber bullets and the crowd is dispersed and arrested.
In the Bundy ranch case the federal law enforcement officers were well out numbered by heavy weapons, and had to retreat.

I agree, but my comment in response to your statement that Australian gunowners 'did nothing' is both valid and supported by official figures. Very few Australians have automatic weapons. I only know two, one of whom is currently fighting to have his licence reinstated after separating from his wife. This low number is surprising, as it's actually quite easy to get a full-auto licence. |
