_ At Arthur Daley's, on the stairs as you go in [on the right], which is at bottom end of Swanston St Walk in the city between Flinders and Flinders Lane. I thought for $1 you can't go wrong, even if they have a love heart on them, so I bought 4.

Cute! We had heaps of these for camping when I was little, and used them even when we moved to the country. I have seen some in Kmart for $3 (?) but not sure on the quality.

Awesome find shinester! Cute! We had heaps of these for camping when I was little, and used them even when we moved to the country. I have seen some in Kmart for $3 (?) but not sure on the quality. Nex, the blue "Jackaroo" brand ones from K-Mart are not bad at all. Cheap, but not bad. We have 4 and use them from time to time, they work well.

I get the 20lt, but have prices a 200lt. I got 5 oil lamps on ebay for $7.00 each! OK for emergencies!!! But will buy some good quality ones as well!
Don't forget to go on line and buy some wicks as well! You can get the different sizes by the full role or by the meter!

Dr, do you know how long the wicks last for! In actual time rem, No! But wicks need to be trimmed regularly to allow them to burn and give the best light! A normal wick will last many months! I will add this, I have found with the cheaper lamps that due to the cheaper material they are made from the heat generated from the wick can cause problems! I have had two flare up and not burn safely! You also must allow the wicks to soak up the kero or oil for quite a while to allow them to burn and not splutter! Good lamps start around $200.00 but will last a life time! (That's New) most cheaper ones are made in China! The good ones are made in the US!

If in Vic [they do send stuff too] you can get wicks from the leather supplier Leffler I wouldn't rate their customer service as orientated to retail, though they have a good supply if you have time to look for things.
