In the article about 50 things to stock and or over stock.. I'm a flashlight person.. Not afraid of the dark, with bad knees just don't want to fall in the dark... So every room of the house, shed, barn has a flashlight in a known place. I also keep ball caps with the little lights in the edge of the brim.. You would be surprised how handy they are.. Even as something simple as rolling under the tractor to grease, you can never get a light or your bi-focal in the right place. The cap light works well.
They all need to be fed, so batteries and good battery management, storage, stock on hand is a must. But well worth the effort and price.. My 5 cents of opinion.

With the recent storms, I now have about 2 years supply of firewood. High Vis clothing and a chainsaw = unlimited supply of firewood.
