This pr**k has clearly broken several laws involving possession and use of Cat H / Prohibited Weapons!! Note his forward grip on the SMG is the base of the magazine, awesome technique for ensuring a bolt over base stoppage or similar with a closed bolt operating system! In my experience there is nothing in NSW Firearms Law that permits this! Unfortunately this bloke will get away with it! One Law for them and one Law for us!! Call it the Law but never Call it JUSTICE !! Merry Xmas everyone!!

So my take on it is this: lets say my mate has a Dealer Licence, operates from home, and can legally have machine guns. Let's say I go round his place, handle his machine guns despite not having a valid licence, then post pics on my FB page. Someone dobs me to the cops. Now instead of receiving a dawn raid by the TRG, having my house turned over, my legally held guns confiscated and my licence immediately suspended (as does the dealer mate), the Police Minister says 'all good Frostbite, carry on mate, you were acting in good faith'.
About as likely as my local Woolworths having a full aisle of toilet paper tomorrow.
The Minister and the fool running tbe range need to be charged.

There is no paperwork for enabling handling of prohibited weapons.
I like how he trys to blame the correctional organisation for setting him up.
"Ignorance of the law is no excuse" ... that often quoted phrase comes to mind.

Don't worry, there will be an "investigation" which he will be cleared of and everything swept under the rug like happens with every other politician of all flavours

So if I'm at work or at the range and a cop comes over hands me his Glock and says "mate check this out" or "mate take a few shots" the moment it leaves his hands and enters yours you are toast! It is no different to the situation reported in that news item!

Looking at the photo, it would seem he is on an official visit, so he would have some sort of exemption (I'm not sure exactly what the NSW laws are though). Looks like he is ready to do a quick mag change too

The true cowards in all of this are the NSW Police Executive because they know this bloke is breaking the Law but they also know who renews their contract each year!!

To be fair, at Lithgow Small Arms Museum they have an SLR and F88, deactivated (but still considered prohibited weapon), that anyone can handle.
Watch the leg humpers shite a brick when they read that.

Just called my local Shooters and Fishers Rep and asked if they were going to try to fukk him over by demanding criminal charges be applied?? He told me the general membership has been screaming overwhelmingly for it so they are moving now!! Won't hold my breath but just maybe we will get lucky and see him sharing a cell with Bubba!

As much as I'd like to see something happen I'm almost certain it will just disappear. Like for example most incidents that involve police and the misuse of firearms, its kept as quiet as possible or just disappears.
