I know this sort of thing happens all the time. But I thought I would share....
Neighbour cut his leg while out on his orchard. Sent his boy across to my place. Went across with my gear. Cleaned it and stitched it. Tetanus up to date! While I was there he said his son had an ingrown toe nail which was bothering him for months and his GP didn't do "surgery" and still hadn't found someone to fix it. So I did a wedge resection of his toe.
2 dozen eggs, 10kgs feijoas and two legs of lamb. Seemed a fair deal to me. Hope he felt as happy - it was his offer so presumable he was.
Reusable instruments needing re-sterilisation one 4/0 nylon suture 10ml amp of local anaesthetic and syringe. It felt like it was worth fair with a working medical supply chain, but I wonder what the local anaesthetic would be worth in a major crash?

Before Christmas each year we take our doctor a dozen farm eggs.. He was originally a Welch country boy and does enjoy little things like that.. We take the Korean people who run the small lunch crowd dinner a couple fresh frozen home grown rabbits every fall.. Just for there use, not the dinner..
We have been trading errands back and forth as it were with young neighbors.. We go to town on Tuesday usually, and check with them for anything they need.. Young mother of 10 month little she cub does her shopping on Friday, so she checks with us for any needs.. Keeps the cub and all the rest of us as safe as possible..
Sweetie traded the use of our 7 big pet carriers to a neighbor to bring home about 50 plus laying hens to add to there flock for 2 dozen fertile eggs for the incubator, and 1-2 dozen more later as needed..
We bought 6 cases of cheaper than restarunt supply coffee for the friends of the MIL who have the little local truck stop diner.. They are doing take out for the truckers and locals as best they can.. When they make a trip up here for supplies, they take boxes of books to MIL for the free book shelves in there area.. The bush grape vine delivery system isn't running like it was, but a little stuff is still getting through as it safely can.
