Curious - those with children of all ages, how did you talk with them about the virus, it's impact on schooling, sports, social activities etc. In terms of prepping, did you incorporate this into discussions with them??

We downplayed it - the kids know already that when you've got a cold, you have to stay home... so we just explained there's a new cold/flu going around and the government is scared everyone is going to catch it, so they've told everyone to stay home so we don't all get it. We did explain that sometimes younger people die from this, and from the flu too, and that's just life. Whether it's actually fair or not, the government is in charge because we voted them in, so tough luck really and no you don't have to like it.
Then we had to explain that there's no toilet paper at the shops, because people were getting all panicked that they might not get to go shopping and were trying to grab what they could. However, because they are used to shopping all the time, lots of people actually have no idea what they really need for two weeks.
