Anyone got a beef jerky brand they like. I used to buy the Territory brand but haven't seen it for ages. Maybe I'm not going into the right servos!
Not looking to order, want to be able to buy it at a shop or servo. I've tried some but don't really like them much. TIA.

I always fall for 2 local versions up my way that have a wide range of flavours and decent sized packs Kev's Jerky If you don't like hot jerky, defiantly stay away from the "mega hot" and "mega hot 2" flavours, they will sting your ring like never before lol www.kevsjerky.com.auThe other quality CQ jerky I like is "Done Mooin"

Apart from Territory Jerky I've never come across a mass-produced brand I like. Many have too much moisture left in them which is great for retaining cheap weight in an expensive product (ie boosting profitability) and crap for flavor and texture.
Some butchers I've come across have produced very nice jerky's at a fair price. Pity their distribution tends to be very local.

At one time I lived too close for my own good to a Jack Links factory... Little local outlet type grocery in that village would have 2 kilo bags of small chunks, crumbs and such real cheap.. They had several different flavors that were all just WONDERFUL.. Even if you had to eat the crumbs with a spoon..
We get Jack Links original flavor, Costco store brand steak strips, and Golden Island brand Korean BBQ flavor pork jerky... All are most excellent..

Do you make your own Kelebar? I make mine during summer on wire racks placed in an old car parked in full sun. Can dry a batch in a day or two at the most if theres a bit of cloud.

Do you make your own Kelebar? Not yet. I'm looking for prepacked because I use it in EDC bags. If I'm hungry I just eat that pack and replace it next time I fuel up or shop. Thanks, Tim, I didn't realise Jack Links did a conventional original jerky. I'll check it out. Their damp ones taste OK but not what I am looking for. Or I might do a servo crawl on the next road trip to see if any sell Territory.
