Has anyone thought about preparing for a revolution (or an advanced form of social unrest)?
hear me out - with the upcoming us election and the possible internal conflicts that may occur in the immediate aftermath, what happens if some folk in Aussie decide that the corruption in our government has gone too far and decide that they may try some social unrest too. Maybe a French Revolution Australia style (and using the unrest in the US as a catalyst for here).
I know generally speaking most aussies are apathetic but there may be some groups out there watching the level of corruption here and they may decide one day that enough is enough - and try something.
how would you prepare for that?
let’s also take the discussion to the US where the chances of such unrest are higher - social unrest is one thing, but a full on revolution is a different ballgame. It has happened in history before - it may just happen again. The common folk, or the middle and/or lower classes just may get fully pissed off and revolt. What happens then? And what would you do?

I think that any uprising here in Aus will be short-lived and isolated to some fringe pockets of radicals. The average Aussie doesn't have much effort/time/money/will to be a patriot like a lot of people in the US. With my involvement in the political sphere over the last few years, I've been watching things going on around the place, both here and overseas and I can tell you that, what you hear on the news about corruption is merely the tip of the iceberg. The widespread deep-seated corruption is rife across the board in all levels of politics, media, and large business, but they are all intertwined to the level that they watch each other's backs and quickly silence anyone who dares stand up and take a shot at them. For any "uprising" to be effective against the level of corruption in Aust, you would almost have to wipe the slate clean and start again.

Aussies aren't apathetic, just tolerant. Nearly the entire rest of the world hates everyone else. They have killed each other many, many times and this is part of their culture. We haven't got that to anywhere near the degree everyone else has. But it is a two-edged sword. This tolerance is the same as pressure building up. If something gives it will be violent and messy. And once the genie is out of the bottle, it is very difficult to get back in. Aus gov is constantly fooking people over. Not just once, but all the time, and it is all corruption related. If they were happy to just line their nests and leave everyone alone they would likely get away with it. But they are sociopaths and cannot control themselves. As the old saying goes "if you can't control yourself, someone else will".
How to prepare for something like this? Same as everything else, intel, logistics and communications.

Remember at the end of the day Politicians, Public Servants, Press and Police are all on the same side especially when a SHTF event occurs! The "P Gang" are all part of the same industry ie controlling and milking the common citizen to sustain themselves and their system! Your welfare and quality of life comes second! Just look at the Covid debacle and coverups then tell me what I'm saying is untrue!

Revolution/advanced civil unrest is a wonderful opportunity for Governments to exercise plenty of lockdown and lethal force to remind the sheep who is in control.
