After the lights were turned off through non payment of bill at the weekend, it doesn't seem fair that just one member has shouldered the financial burden to keep the forum going. So how about setting up a donation section to help out with the bill, purely voluntary of course.

Thanks - honestly, it wasn't too much - but, I will look into creating a donation button/etc. There is an "account" on the domain where we can deposit funds for future use. I'll look into it.

Could I suggest perhaps some redbubble products or something similar? The reason I suggest that is that some people aren't comfortable with their real-world names being attached to financial donations. If you go through redbubble, people could purchase an item (t-shirt, jumper, stubby holders etc) without their personal billing details and name being attached to the purchase.
Then SA gets the profits which would help to pay to keep the lights on, and the buyer gets a bit of forum merch to rep. You could have an overt design for the forum etc, and covert designs for folks who want to purchase to support but also prefer to grey man it. Win/win!

When we first started, those who donated were sent an Ausprep patch. I'll get onto the patch maker ( also a member here ) and see if we can't get this going again.
