I'm just putting together an off site data cache to leave at someone else's place nearby, with backups of our photos, a power bank and maybe an eReader or old phone. Probably faraday shielded while I'm at it... Other possibilities include ID, passport no, kids papers, phone book with friends contact details ... coded and encrypted maybe depending on who it was going to get left with
In light of the other discussion about having your house burn down, what should I add to it that could save a lot of trouble?

Certified copies of documents. Contact numbers of accountant, NOK, work, friends you can ask for help (in case you are not able to remember numbers, are unavailable, or phone is burned). If travelling, email these to yourself.

Would a clean, new metal paint can from a craft store work as a small Faraday container ?? ??
I've read people use a galvanized steel garbage can for this type storage.. The paint can would be water tight also..
