Are you my Dad? He has at least 300 as well lol! He has tiny pen ones, all the way up to 'Big Bertha' - a massive one that requires a strap and waist support to use. I like the torch in the link, looks good and the hanger bit comes in handy. My most-used torch is a Lion 7 LED 6.5cm long, followed by my inbuilt iphone torch app lol. I saw a sexy purple tactical torch the other day (about 30cm long), went back to buy it and it was gone

i am trying not to get 18650 flash lights coz of the scarcity of the batteries or charging methods. A juiceless flashlight is useless, unless its a huge maglite, then it can be a defence weapon. SHTF conditions, its easier to charge AA/AAA 1.2v batteries. So most of my torches (other than some specialty ones) use these 2 classes. I can switch out from these in a flash, coz I have AA/AAA alternatives.

Been a while since I researched flashlights and so forth. The one I take hiking / keep in BOB is a LED Lenser P6....or P7.
I also have a 5.11 Tactical flashlight which is surprisingly good. I think it's like the atac a2 or something.

I have multiple battery types for my flashlights. you never know what batteries you may pick up in SHTF.
My Main guns are SolarForce L2P units and recently a Z1. Have AA and AAA flashlights too.

I think the combo of an 850lm blinding light and a 4D mag light will work quite well as a defensive combo!!

For the sake of weight, I've shrunk my BOB flash lights to really bare minimum. I'm now at 6. lol. 3 Area effect lamps (when SHTF and no other light is available, you'll be surprised how bight these are) 3 forward focused lights. All will be using AA/AAA Photos hopefully tomorrow

Ive got a few torches from wind up to some bloody strong Led Lenser jobs. For the battery operated ones I mainly have AA type for consistency, as I reckon it would be harder to scrounge D type batteries down the track.

for those torches which are wound up, please buy better quality ones. I had a few $2 ones which are good in a pinch but if you pump them too quickly or too hard, then it will spoil easily.
I prefer the shaking kind, it lasts longer.
