This is the type of farms around where I live. Lots of these old farms and homesteads scattered through the backwoods. Off grid and isolated.

In our area of the bush there are a number of old places that can be traced back to hunters, trappers, loggers and such who left for WW1 and just never came back.. A little of this up through WW2 also..
There are still many more modern structures, but still quite primitive living compared to the conveniences available today..
