Well it looks like that little urbane latte sipper ballzac kirkup had his butt handed to him. He deserved it but his little hissy fit probably cost the libs way more than it needed to. That guy is the epitome of wimp. Julie B needs to visit him and give the li’l a swift uppercut before he packs up his soft toys and goes back to his safe space.
I reckon this is the tip of the iceberg for our political future. There are a heap of nanny fed bubbies coming up through the ranks that never played in a sandpit before. Ol Ji zing ping must be giddy with excitement.
thoughts? opinions?

Our SA premier, in order to be re-elected, seems to be following a path of doing nothing of merit. Simply so he can't tubesteak up or offend anyone.
Its about time political leadership was totally overhauled. Politicians should ALL be paid most of their salary in arrears. At the END of their term. Or at least in yearly 'progress' installments based on results. I say we vote twice at every election. Once to elect a party/leader for a new term and again to set the payment for the previous terms work. We should also get to vote on what individual politicians get paid in the way of ongoing pensions/benefits.
I also think we ought to be able to elect, to some degree, which portfolios our taxes are spent in. Maybe that way we wouldn't have an National Disability Insurance Scheme that pays for disabled people to use prostitues. YES ... that is an actual thing!
Politics has degenerated into a "profession" (I use that term VERY loosely) in which on-ground, real world results for the overall economy and bulk of population ... don't actually matter. All that matters is hoodwinking the mass of voters into not get really cranky when lobbyists (ie PARTY DONORS) get their grubby free kicks handed out. The general idea now is to carefully hand out as many free kicks as possible to your financial supporters and close associates without getting caught, creating outrage and being voted out later for doing so.
Really outstanding political and economic leaders like Sir Thomas Playford would look at politics now and not recognize it as the job they once did.

2 term limits? to avoid career politicians who milk the system Yearly elections so they are forced to work hard to meet the next year's election and actually have to achieve something while elected? Massive reductions of faceless unelected bureaucrats? Some of these who sit back and pencil random policies and then pitch them to MP's are more dangerous than the MP's that sponsor them in parliament.

The Libs are getting slaughtered in state elections. WA used to be their safe ground. Maybe try to represent your constituents instead of party donors for once.

Very happy to see the member for our area, who is a National, has retained his seat. He has stood up for his electorate and fought for us against the extremely city-centric Labor govt throughout the last 3 1/2 years.

Normally safe MPs will toe the party line and not give a sheet about their constituents. This whole thing is very bad for democracy. WA now effectively has a dictator like Victoria. Controlling both houses is not a good thing for anyone.

We all went toe to toe with the state govt 3 years ago over the boarding college our kids go to when they wanted to shut it down and he did everything he could to keep the fight up, including going to his federal countetparts in the end. Tbh it's probably why he retained his seat this time round! Yeah, it's not going to go well for the rural areas of the state especially 😪

Rural areas are screwed regardless. Urbanites have no idea of the resources that sustain them but they feel free to sling mud at farming and agriculture and call them unacceptable carbon emitters. They believe they are self sufficient because they can grow a pot of herbs on a window sill, brew their komb!tcha and buy seeds, nuts and mushrooms from their hip local grocer. They believe they are green cause that’s how they vote and they have LED lights. This all the while surrounded by millions of tons of steel, concrete, huge electricity and fuel users, food and luxury consumers as well as living among heavily polluted waterways and atmosphere. .
Now they realise cities are unhealthy shitholes, they are spreading out to rural areas bringing their BS with them. These same people are the ones letting out stock from peoples properties because they disagree with farming, meat etc. Go to Mullumbimby or Byron, that is the epicentre of farkwittery. Tell me I’m wrong!

The one that gets me the most is those that tell you they only buy organic produce from the local market so they don't need farmers.....hahahahahaha fukn morons have no idea that organic produce is grown on farms and by farmers 🙄
