Bit hypocritical the same kinds of people who dont want to be discriminated against are fine with being discriminatory.
“I think when you’re telling people that you can’t use language like ‘husband’ or ‘wife’ or you’re asking people for pronouns, I’m sorry, it doesn’t have a place in the modern defence force,” he told Sky News host Alan Jones.
It doesn't have a place anywhere. Gays can call themselves whatever they like, so can heterosexual couples, ad infinitum.

Don't most laws start with something like 'any person', or 'a person'?
So if I identify as a Unicorn, or an Alpaca, or even a Vietnamese backpacker's tampon, then doesn't the government have to respect that, and therefore the law doesn't apply to me?

I feel like the Defence Minister should probably leave management of personnel in the military to those who've actually served. I get his point, the military isn't for play time. But showing people that they're welcome in an industry where they probably have had some pretty savage discrimination in the past can never be a bad thing.

I've filled in a couple of 'official' forms for stuff and chosen "other" and elaborated as "Attack Helicopter" No one seems to notice or care. I think the general aim is to have all people referring to each other as "Them". And by default thinking of themselves as "Us" A great way to divide the heck out of a society and lay the groundwork for endless antagonism between all "them's" and "us's". And who benefits greatly from that?

As one who has served in the military, even though it was part time in the reserves, it saddens me to see the way our serving members are being treated and referred to.
No tagline to this post as a tribute to our comrades in arms.

My daughter got her survey from ADF. She was pretty savage. She doesn't regret her time, but she would never go back, even when they said she could name her posting.

Pity the ADF wasted around $4.6M for 1 feminist "professor" to review the ADF and make all the policy changes that lead to the well-publicised moral killing decisions, which Dutton has now told the CDF to pull his finger out and stop playing the feminist appeasement game and get back to the business of preparing the army for war.

I seen that news , at first I thought it was an April fools day prank.
