For the third time in a month, Commbank is having an outage. Apps and EFT impacted. Seems that Bendigo Bank is also having issues. We keep very little cash in the bank these days, but if these outages keep happening I won't be surprised if people start to hold physical fiat instead of relying on the banking system.
I can't be the only one that thinks that it's targeted attacks on a vital system, just as have been happening over in the US. Time to carry more cash if you don't already. Or at least have some stashed somewhere safe.

We are under a massive constant DDOS and Hacking attack from Russia , also impacting USA, for approx the last few weeks , few IT news articles mentioned it ,
Unprecedented they say , US gov departments are telling server admins to literally unplug servers till certain updates are done .

We only keep enough in the bank to cover the mobile and net bills. So when it all goes tits up, we wont lose much.
Love letters, Business contracts and money due all arrive 3 weeks late, but junk mail arrives the day it was sent.

Another outage for a government department. This time, Tuesday, the entire online education portion of the nsw dept of education went down. It was claimed to be a cyber attack - but just happen to occur near the notification of schools in the Sydney region had to return to term 3 online. I am wondering if the infrastructure wasn’t up to par and they blamed a cyber attack instead.
