Howdy Members, I thought i'd post a thread here to keep you all in the loop with the direction of the forum, facebook page and anything else related to APF. Currently, i am waiting on the domain name www.Ausprep.com to be registered. Paperwork has been submitted and paid for, now to simply wait for it to be approved. 24/48hrs from now we should be legit. As you can see by the Social media thread, Ausprep currently has a few pages and channels now open for business. Once the domain name is sorted, i will be advertising the forum at a greater rate. Happy for feedback and ideas.

Is there a way to get this forum ported onto the domain name? Proboards provides a good service but it's a bit gross having it in the address bar, and hosting it through a domain will be more professional, especially for sponsors.

Yep - we're currently in the process of doing so. Hopefully it should be live by tomorrow. The site has only been live for a few days. We will be getting quite a lot of work done professionally on both the website, our Facebook page and our YouTube channel. The current state is only the beginning...

Will we lose all the current posts on the forum or will it all be transferred over?

Forum will stay the exact same. We're still going to use the ProBoards engine to power the forum, but all links will be through www.ausprep.com when activation is finalised However, we still are conducting quite a bit of work on the design and style of the board, and it' something the administration team is looking into. Hopefully it won't take long to get the place to how we want it for the future to come

Thanks for the reply BRTS (yes, we tend to abbreviate here) As @vorpal has mentioned, this is infact day 5 of the forum, so it currently still has the new car smell.
Once i get this to a level (down the track) i am happy with, i will be looking to move up from Proboards, either upgrading with them or going else where.
We are in the final stages with the domain registry and DNS redirection etc. Hopefully, by days end all will be in place.
We also have our FB page, our youtube chanel plus a few other social media aspects to bring up to speed also. Even though we are very commited, Its extremely important at this stage, we do not take on more than we can physically handle. This is where i have watched others fail.
Thanks for the feedback, all is very welcomed and much appreciated.
