I saw this article in the Sydney Morning Herald today. www.smh.com.au/national/inside-racism-hq-how-home-grown-neo-nazis-are-plotting-a-white-revolution-20210812-p58i3x.htmlI see groups like that being a big part of the problem in a SHTF scenario. Even with key members put away its not hard to imagine they'd still have a network which pulls together to form gangs when the rule of law is not on top of them. It's a good reminder that extremists are out there in many guises, even in Australia. I think sometimes people flirt with romanticising the concept of SHTF as being free from overbearing government regulation but I'm sure the reality would suck on many levels, especially with groups of nutbags like that running around 'cleansing society' of anyone they have a distaste for. Its also not hard to imagine they could have visited this forum looking for sympathisers to their cause ... hence we ban people sprouting such ideas lest they taint the preparedness community as collateral damage.

It must be neo nazi week. 60 Minutes ran a story on them last night. I didn't watch the whole segment, but they looked like a bunch of unemployed dreamers to me. What I saw on tv wouldn't last 30 seconds against a militant survivalist.

Neo nazis. Ugh. Either crazy, bored, or bloody divergent. Someone drop 'em on a rock island to eke out whatever miserable existence they can. I have zero patience for that kind of f#*ckery.

DHS in the US has now pretty much-declared anyone who is right-wing as a domestic terrorist.

DHS in the US has now pretty much-declared anyone who is right-wing as a domestic terrorist. Thats insane. It's essentially saying if you're not subservient, if you question the system and if you support a mainstream political player who doesnt happen to be the current incumbent then you're a terrorist. Its actually frightening just how stifling the US government, mainstream media, and big tech have become. I pity the vets who fought for freedom and the police officers I know who made their lives about serving and improving their communities. they have become pawns in a system which is failing them, their values and their communities and alienating them.

How long before those in America branded domestic terrorists decide that if they are going to do the time, they might as well do the crime.

I pity the vets who fought for freedom and the police officers I know who made their lives about serving and improving their communities. they have become pawns in a system which is failing them, their values and their communities and alienating them. Folks ASIO have already tried this one way back last year! Anti-Vax = Right Wing Tewwowists naturally the State Fuzz jump right on if there is an extra quid to be made! "Far-right extremists ‘recruiting’ wellness groups and anti-vaxxers, police warn" thenewdaily.com.au/news/national/2021/02/27/far-right-extremists-australia-police/Right-wing extremist groups are drawing in new members from wellness and anti-vaxxer communities online, using the COVID pandemic and outrage over state border closures as a “recruiting tool” to swell their ranks.
That’s the assessment of Victoria Police, in a submission to a federal parliamentary inquiry into extremism, with fears the pandemic “intensified” far-right activity. National security agencies report children as young as 13 are joining right-wing extremist groups, which are getting more “sophisticated”.
Like as if you would believe any shit that came out the mouth of VICPOL these days! "The Australian Security Intelligence Organisation said right-wing terror accounted for up to 40 per cent of its current workload, and an attack was possible in Australia." ..................................Laughing my arse off! "Commonwealth Public Servant" and "workload" should never, ever be used in the same sentence and that's coming from me as a former Commonwealth Public Servant! Just remember the ASIO staff that view this forum don't spare the time to answer our questions or send PMs not to mention how rude they are by not even introducing themselves to the forum before they start sneaking around!

I think it is a storm in a teacup...
I have no sympathy or connection to any supremist group, some of their policies are very hypocritical.
But in the fight for freedom of speech we should support their right to their own beliefs.
Holy smokes.... Since when is it illegal's to own literature, go to jail for just owning a book, what next if one has a Bible or Koran you get labelled as a terrorist and sent to jail.. Have a number of 1980's military survival manual detailing what actions to take in a nuclear war - I suppose that makes me a terrorist with nuclear material.
How many terrorist activities have been in Australia due to ultra right.... I don't see them as a threat to national security - in order to take over a government one needs majority of people to support their ideals. The article links them to Russian supremist groups - like they will be responsible for Russia invaliding us. Soon it will be you have 4 cans of backed beans and only allowed to own 3 now you go to jail as you are a terrorist.
In the USA they have organized private militia that is well within their constitution and have right to speak and have their beliefs heard, of course any criminal activity or intent is punished. The crackdown on all fringe people and their beliefs are start to complete retraction of freedom of speech.
The bike gangs in Australia import shipping creates with thousands of guns at a time, no one take any action, no media coverage. Not long and prepper will be treated the same as the ultra right, as all freedom is removed. Australia now has a reputation of being the most dictatorial western country in the world. Read an article the other day if you go to Australia or leave you will be held prisoners for the rest of your life unable to leave or reenter the country..

Back in the 60s 70s and 80s Australia was an awesome place to live but then the Politifilth got hold of it and totally destroyed it. Now it's just a shit filled Penal Colony again with curfews, lockdowns, Military Patrols, roadblocks, travel permits, mandatory ID checks, draconian penalties for non-compliance etc etc. I can think of half a dozen countries out of all those I have visited that would be a way better place to live right now.

I'd rather be a Uyghur in China. I'd probably have more rights. I hope Fuller, Gladys and Horseface hang tbeir head in shame on Anzac Day. Those three have destroyed the legacy our brave men and women fought and died for.

Good points Milspec. Re a shtf scenario, small groups, even loosely organised, will be a major threat. And these groups will always attract new members - the "wild, free, do what we want, take what we want" attitude. People will look for security, comfort, survival from these groups. Never discount them! Re the Ban Button - it's a race to ban these nut jobs amongst admin too - glad they are on the ball.

These blokes should've realised that if you create a group such as the one exposed on 60 Minutes that it is an absolute given it will be infiltrated by the Feds. When I lived in the UK / France in the eighties the skinheads and Neo Nazis were true believers, seriously aggressive and capable of hardcore violence involving minimal provocation.
Despite the narrative put forward by the Authoritees this problem is of chicken shit proportion in Oz compared to the rest of the World! Most Aussies are just too fukking lazy to get involved in shit like this, ASIO is a solution looking for a problem when it comes to credible organised right-wing "homegrown tewwowism" !
That 60 minutes crew despite their substantial investment in money and time struggled to get anything with any real meat on it.
This mob are a bunch of tools and 60 Minutes............well need I say more!
ASIO could serve the taxpayers far more effectively if they devoted more of their time and our resources to investigating State and Federal level corruption to include Politicians, Public Servants and Law Enforcement and Security Agencies at all levels. The tangible return for Australian Citizens would be massive! If you ASIO folks need any recommendations regarding possible investigations just call me!
Here is one for free:- It is alleged that despite all Hairdressers being shut down by NSW Public Health Orders someone according to my old mum is doing Gladys Berejiklian's hair for her! Now if this is true that is a direct contravention of the Law, can you blokes please look into that one for my mum? I'd also appreciate it if you could notify me via PM when the arrest warrants are issued!

Its probably a good thing to publicize groups like that being infiltrated and disrupted so that likeminded fools are dissuaded from getting involved and the problem not growing into something significant. That said it would also be nice to see that effort going into something more concrete like disrupting illegal firearms imports and all the other activities of organized crime gangs.
