I'm trying to find any US suppliers who will ship minor firearm parts, such as springs or extractors, to Australia.
No major parts or parts that require export or import approval (ie: NO triggers, barrels, receivers, bolts etc).
The only place in the US I have found so far is out of stock. There is a place in Canada but they want s minimum $100 shipping and their prices are double US prices.
Nobody in Aus has the parts for sale.
Does anyone know of a supplier in the US who ships overseas?
Edit for clarification: specifically I'm after a rebuild kit for my Glock 17. The pistol club got rid of all their centrefire club guns before I was appointed Club Captain, and all the newbies and P650 shooters want to try the glock, so I'm willing to use my personal gun but want some spares to rebuild it later.

Max Wray a Cockburn Fremantle Pistol Club may know as he works as gunsmith within WA prisons armory... they use Glocks predominantly ... but I don't think he subscribes to our chat group.

Yep, tried Brownells. They ship some parts here but don't have a lot in stock.
Also got some bits from RockmyGlock, but they are out of stock on a lot of parts as well.
So many shops in US, Europe and tbe UK sold out of Glock parts. Is everyone doing their glocks up?

Might be worth giving these guys a call lockloadgunsammo.com.au/They used to operate as ABCYL and I know they used to do servicing of some of the feds glocks here in WA. They would replace all the springs, firing pins etc every year regardless of how much or little use they had Dont know if they still do it tho as that was a few years back

Biggest problem getting any gun stuff out of the U.S is their BATF , many dealers / shops I’ve spoken to are shit scared of them and not keen on drawing attention to themselves . I tried to get the 45acp conversion for the No4 Enfield but the guy wouldn’t ship the barrel also tried to get a turned down / sniper bolt body for a Mosin but got the same excuse from the bolt guy . The other issue these guys say is doing exports is just too much stuffing around for them . Brownells won’t ship anything over $100usd regardless of what it is but you can do multiple orders up too 100 and that’s ok for them . Numrich arms and AIM simply won’t ship out of The U.S mainland . If you find a place that will ship then maybe cultivate that contact for more gear ( totally legal of course ) nothing dodgy …

I was trying to get a synthetic replacement stock for an old Mossberg bolt action 12 ga.. from a US supplier... They have to ship it to an authorized 3rd party shipper that will ship it to Canada.. About 4-5 times the price of normal shipping a part that size and weight.. They claiming all Bidens fault I'm told..
Now Biden has supposedly banned import of Russian ammo..
You get the government you vote and pay for, but a whole different thread... Don't get me started..

Perhaps finding a sympathetic USA prepper someplace would act as agent and buy the product on behalf then ship it privately? I guess that's wishful thinking , but if its legit then shouldn't be an issue. Reaching out to our prep brothers might be an idea as there are so many things like this aside from those kind of items that are unobtainable , especially since Covid. And lets face it , Amazon shipping costs are horrendous.

Looked into getting a replacement bolt for my target rifle from the US. Its doable as long as u have the appropriate license,(I have). Import duty has to be paid, along with sales tax, but if a piece isn't available locally, a letter to that effect to customs will usually wipe out most of the tax duty.

I thought of that.... But was told if you or your US private citizen shipper gets caught with a part that is supposed to be transfered by an autharized agent you are in trouble.. Don't know what kid of trouble, but not worth finding out..
I was told that I or my US friend could carry the part over the border by road.. Not sure about flying... But border crossing is still a problem now..
Supposedly Canada to US and back within 24 or 48 hours (?) does not require extra covid testing, threat of quaranteen and such but it seems Canadian border personell had not been advised or trained befor the new rules took affect and handed out a big number of citations, fines, and grief to Canadians... With 80% of our population living within 160 km of the US, many routinely grocery, gas and other shopping in the US.. People art ticked off to the max...

I've got an order with a Canadian company, Hero Outdoors, which has been sitting only partially shipped for 3 months, an order from Brownells which was sent quickly but has been sitting in USPS at Chicago for over 2 months, and a third order from another US company which took weeks to get export approval but should arrive via Fedex next week.
