Please post all your bread recipes here - after reading DJ's and Tim's posts, apart from being hungry for freshly baked bread, do others have any recipes to share?

Like said... In cooler times of the year we use a lot of homemade sour dough starter for a number of things..
"Fred Sourdough" lives in a jar on the kitchen counter at our house.. Fred it a yeast base sourdough that is Yukon strong compared to the wimpy French sourdoughs around.. He is a bit of high maintence as he is best fed small amounts at a time to replenish him after use.. Otherwise he has been known to climb out of his jar.. But then, sourdough is a living organism and needs attention and nurturing to be good..
One of my quick, dirty, tasty favorites is to make pancake, waffle batter..
1 to 1 1/2 cups Fred same of flour ....your choice 1/4 cup brown sugar 1 1/2 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp salt enough water to make a runny batter as I like it less water for a thicker batter
Pancakes, or waffles with butter and homemade jam or jelly Maple syrup is good, but so much better when it is as hot as fresh tea..
Left over pancakes make a most wonderful foundation, slightly warmed, for peanut butter, banana, and jam...
Off to the kitchen...
