Regarding cam nets. Best or least worst pattern to carry for Oz conditions, my vote goes to ACU.

Good video on concealment from drones.
I watched a fair bit of that video before I fell asleep. What makes morons with verbal diarrhea think they know enough about a topic to make a youtube video? Especially when the content of their video is a few combat photos stolen off the internet and a reference to a USMC manual. What WOULD be interesting is how one might evade high end thermal surveillance. Like does lazerlite sheeting work as well against military grade thermal as it does the civilian stuff. Or does Max Velocity's thermal shield poncho really work?

yeah not as a good as it could have been i suppose. I wonder what usmc would use to evade thermal and would they need to since they generally own the sky most of the time. In regards to thermal, that is something i havent looked into but here is an old video on some materials one could use. I dont believe it would be very easy to outsmart military grade thermal surveillance.
So maybe a mixture of what is presented in the vid plus cam net, or a ghilly suit concoction?

Glass defeats my $6000 thermal scope. Just can't see through it.

What would say a door screen with cam net over it look like through thermal i wonder, going from that video the outline would still show up? The thermal camera would still see a huge rectangle?
Something else to look into would be drone detection.

I'm told and have witnessed pretty much any solid material will block as long as you are not touching it thereby transferring heat signature through conduction.

I'm thinking perhaps hide among rocky outcrops or large boulders. I had a rock look very much like a wombat last weekend. It was only the lack of movement that gave it away as a rock. Rocks can give off a heat signature very much like a person or animal.

The thing about high tech ... is its often surprisingly easy to spam or jam. Once you know how ... I'm wondering how to evade surveillance and death from well organised Chinese occupation forces that saturate an area in strength ...

Or in Victoria from Oct 15, how to hide from Diktator Dan's mobile heavily armed anti work goon forces. I suggest be highly mobile, be where the goon squads aren't, have multiple locations where you can hide/rest/re-equip.

This is an interesting vid on the use of an umbrella to evade thermal imaging.
and a follow up with NV.

Full length clear polycarb shield better ... but yeah. IR is Easy to evade IF you know direction you are being observed from. If you don't know where the IR is observing you from ... they are trickier to evade detection. I guess creeping around inside a polycarb cylinder could work to a point?? With a gunport out the front. Darlek style ? Ex-term-in-ate!!!

It’s not really the camera itself that is the issue. it’s the emerging associated software that rapidly analyses the camera data, detects anomalies (like the blob the brolly makes)and decides whether to pre-emptively lay waste to said anomaly.

late arvo, the rocks are hot, so are most trees. early am, you are the only warm thing in the viewfinder.

Good idea, reminds me of hot and cold blooded animals, dont be where snakes and lizards like to live.
