These kinds of announcements were unheard of before. Now they are becoming commonplace.
With this, and now Europe in the midst of a horrible surge in COVID cases - we should all be taking stock of our supplies, and filling in the holes where we can.

China can't feed it's people alone on a good day, let alone during mass lockdowns etc. We all saw what happened the first time, people being welded into their apartments, dying on the streets... Not a good time. I wonder if they've just given up and decided to 'let it rip' as it were. I can't see what that would achieve but the only other reason to order your entire nation to stockpile is impending war.
Either way, I think we should all be taking note and doing the same.

We are too. All we see here in the states is politics and other such BS. this stuff is barely reported on, and the people watching international news are the only ones that have any clue.
Everything is so polarized/politicized - its all people can really see anymore. Its like the government is purposely trying to do that, put blinders on people so they can't see what's really happening.
