"Not Going To Happen To Me Again" - Prepping Goes Mainstream In Post-COVID Erawww.zerohedge.com/markets/not-going-happened-me-again-prepping-goes-mainstream-post-covid-eraPrepping is become mainstream and not as much "fringe" as it was perceived just a few years ago. This is a symptom of people losing trust in government and corporations. The evolution of thought for consumers is to break away from the matrix, buy land in a rural community with a decent internet connection and grow food and hunt.

Not surprising. Anyone who has lived in China will see the 'grab grab grab while you can!' mentality over there. It it born out of the food shortages and starvation that the CCP caused. Things haven't gotten nearly that bad here, but we did see it with toilet paper.

And yet there are all these start up businesses on the news recently whose business model is supplying basic foods like milk, bread, eggs etc online, delivered to your door within 15 minutes. They say their customer base is expanding rapidly.

We have milk, delivered to our door, only issue is someones got to milk the cow ! Ditto with eggs, but u have to collect them. Bread, we buy feed wheat and mill it in a whisper mill to bake our own bread. Butter/cream/cheese, see the cow comments. Honey, easy peasy, just don the gear, fire up the smoker, and spin out some fresh, bush honey, full of pollen and the odd dead bee ! Water, harvested from the roof and solar pumped to header tanks to use gravity to feed the houses and gardens. Delivered to our door, fresh, every day. Vegies, picked from the gardens and delivered fresh to the table within minutes, meat, happy sheep/cows, killed without stress in their own paddocks, and hung outside for 24 hrs to set the meat in the cool overnight, processed immediately. Frozen in a solar powered freezer. You get the point, home delivered fresh food is already here.
All I want is a warm bed, a kind word, and unlimited power !

I'm glad to see more people of my age getting into prepping. Anyone that's lived rurally for a while is likely to be remembering rather than learning, but either way it can only serve our entire communities to have people on board with keeping themselves fed and healthy!

Its our lifestyle, been doing it for over 30 years, now nearly 65. Been seriously prepping for 20 years and really getting serious for the last 3 or 4.
If at first you don't succeed, destroy all evidence of your trying.
