I saw this post this morning, so happy to see he's uploaded! Although as far as I know he's in FNQ (could be wrong though) so I guess next video we'll see him making a canoe? Lol. Hope it's all good where he is!

Hope it's all good where he is! Last i heard he was from North Stradbroke Island. I could be wrong too, just word of mouth rumour. Maybe a raft if he ever ventures anywhere near the coastal regions, which id like to see, but he has a niche of staying where he is in his environment so i doubt that. |

Each to their own but I don't know why anyone would want to live like that... One plant i would want to have in abundance would be citronella if i had to live like that in FNQ. But i believe his channel is more educational rather than a way to live. Its always good to know in case one has to fall back to this type of living for whatever reason. |

To the best of my understandings he's up near cooktown and from looking at the type of vegetation it looks about right for any of the coastal area from cardwell , cairns , Bloomfield to cooktown

From my understanding it was mostly an experience of seeing if he could replicate old methods rather than doing it to live that way intentionally. That being said, some of the stuff he's built could actually be considered pretty standard living these days! Fired bricks for a building, plenty of pottery items for home use. I don't know that I'd aim to live like that intentionally. I like having access to the internet too much haha. But I've always had a back of the head dream about living in a hand made cob house with very little 'new' technologies. Honestly I think I'd last about a month before I got the irrits with not having on demand heating and water and want to move out. But it's a lovely idea 😅. Mind you, if SHTF you'd probably be far less noticeable in something like that if you were trying not to be noticed. The more you blend in with the local area the better. And what better way is there than using the materials that are around you. |
