OK.... Mates... Being as electrical illiterate as I am... I think I could handle a small unit similar to these shown in the videos...
This being a battery box, like shown, that you plug in you solar panel to charge the battery.. Also plug in Sweeties smart phone to charge... Or my dumb cell phone... A small lap top, maybe ??
I don't see myself using an inverter, or cigarette plug, so USB, and plug in (?) 12 volt is ample (??) Remember... Keeping it all idiot proof...
Does this exist in this simple a form... ?? How about a marine battery box and battery that plugs into an ammo can control unit ??
Get your grey matter working... Come up with something useful you know your old North American shirt tail kin could use... eh....
For instance....
If there is a better place for this post, please move it as needed... Thanks..

Have a look at the offerings from Jaycar and Altronics.
You know you own an old tractor when.....Central tractor supplies gives you a rubber stamp with their details on it for your cheque book.

Charging a laptop might be a problem...it would depend on what sort of voltage it needs.
That charger he's using in the vid appears to have USB outputs on it so that's pretty much all you will need. An enclosure, battery, charger and some connectors to connect up your solar panel.

Tim that is already in it’s most simple form. You could always reverse engineer this to suit your own specs.

You might consider adding a small collapsible solar panel.
You know you own an old tractor when.....You have several cases of oil on hand, but take your car to the local service station for an oil change.

Any other bits you want can be had here (for Aussie buyers anyway)
Any geeks here remember Rod Irving Electronics? This is the remains of that company.

Why not just use something premade like these. === === This is the kind of thing I would be looking for.... A sort of "turn key" set up to unwrap, minimal assembly and make useful...
I guess the next step would be to Google "portable battery power box Canada" ??

Ive got a Jaycar Power tek 5 in 1 power station that I picked up from the tip some years ago. A new 12 v lead acid battery and away it went. It has a led light system (5 supa bright white leds), jump starter, 400 watt 240 volt inverter, 2 off 12 volt outlets and usb as well as a air compressor. Adding a folding solar panel will give a kit, much like you are after. To reduce the weight you could probably remove the air compressor, and the jumper leads. The 4 amp hour battery will last a long time just charging usb devices and running the lights. The inverter may be a bit problematical as at 400 watts, the current drain will be in the region of 40 amps, so the battery will only last for 10 minutes or so, but add a solar panel and it would be a reasonable power source. A small plug pak keeps it charged from the main power system. Having a portable, self contained air compressor is really handy on the farm, and the 240 volt inverter is handy for powering a heavy duty soldering iron when doing field repairs. I have a small (10 watt) 12 v solar panel from a dead electric fence unit that I can connect to it for bugging out, or run the solar panel stand alone (with a 12 v cigarette lighter socket attached and a usb adapter) to keep charged up on the run if needed. Just found this link, don't know anything about it, but could give u some ideas.
There must have been two models as I have another one without the inverter, but with a dead battery, once again picked up from the the tip.
You know you own an old tractor when......You own more than one new 6 volt battery.
