They're not made in China anymore. Basically they were upgrading their factory in Bendigo, and as a result they had to find SOMEwhere else to make it. They stood up the contract with China, but the manufacture of Snickers and the other bars that were made over there for a while has now returned to Aus.
What's more worthy of note in my opinion (since it was only a temporary measure, and I almost never eat chocolate bars anyway) is the fact that the bars have shrunk on their return to Aus manufacturing. Shrinkflation at it's finest.
But there will absolutely still be "Made in China" bars out there because they're pretty long-lived so if that matters to you then make sure you're checking. Chances are if the bar is smaller it's an Aus made one but I'd be checking anyway if it was me.

The long lived thing...surely the Australian factories could have gone flat chat for a while and put the excess into storage. Maybe they did. The ADF puts them in ration packs sometimes, so the made in china ones may be around for a long time yet.

They have been for a long time...before Covid (B.C.?)
I never eat the crap - a. It makes me crook, b. there's more nutrition in the wrapper.
