Before you go off on a rant...I don't care if you're a superperson and don't need one...go and start your own thread.
So what do you use everyday? When you feel flat? To push you through fatigue? Do you prep for it? Would you have issues if you ran out?
Me? I find that really high quality espresso works OK if I need it but it's too much of a hassle. I think my early days of doing huge hours on projects and swilling American-style percolated sludge has sort of made me immune to the stuff! I can go weeks without coffee...I don't seem to need it any more.
What I do keep on hand though is Red Bull. Same as coffee, I can go for months without it but if I have a late night, heavy exercise or physical work and know I have to perform the next day I know I have it on hand. If I'm feeling flat in the morning I smash down 1 x 250ml, sugar-free can and I'm good to go for the day! I don't refrigerate it and 250ml wont go through you like other (or the same) drinks at larger volumes.
Sometimes they have the 6 & 4 packs on special in the supermarket where it can be half the price as normal and I keep a few packs on hand...I don't drink enough to keep heaps of it.
I'd be interested in others thoughts, Air Force guys have "Special Meds" in their survival kits or is that a myth?

A real coffee or two in the morning was a 40 year habit for me, it wasn't an addiction it was a ritual, I can go for weeks without missing it at all but others seem so totally hooked on or obsessed with the coffee thing.

Full strength chocolate, full of sugar. And for a real quick buzz, Coke a cola, not the zero junk, but the real stuff, with lots of sugar and caffeine. Espresso coffee isn't bad either, but gives me a headache if I have too much late in the afternoon.
The special forces stuff is basically the commercial "no doz" stuff, like drinking 10 cups of coffee without the water.

No FB, I'm not talking about delusional stimulants, only the ones an individual can actually get.

I was going to post a pic of me with a couple (two pairs actually) of stimulants I can (did) actually get but won't derail this thread any further.
Unless you guys actually want to see my favourite regular stimulants, of course.....

Good fresh coffee with a dash of oat milk when I'm not in some office somewhere, black moccona poured straight from the jar if I am. I'm also not adverse to the occasional energy drink if I'm feeling particularly zapped but I try to stick with coffee because frankly it just tastes far better.
I also maintain a rolling container of pre-workout. Generally I only use that before a pretty hectic gym workout and I don't beast myself that hard anymore to warrant it. I still buy a fresh container every 12 months or so because it'll turn into a hard sugary lump after a while if you don't use it up. Very helpful when you need to get through a rough morning or lots of physical work. It's definitely not something I take for funzies that's for sure because the crash afterwards can be very limiting. I generally keep a stock of it so that should I need it it's there, but I wouldn't use it just because I had a bad sleep or something. It's not really great for the anxiety levels although coffee isn't either... But I can only deal with removing one vice at a time! lmao.
I do also keep a stock of 10mg melatonin though. My doc recommended cutting my coffee intake but said that it's not likely to be causing my sleeping issues as I don't drink coffee after midday anymore, and I don't drink that many in the morning (generally 2 - 3). He said to give melatonin a try simply to try to calm things down a bit. The melatonin helps my brain to shut off. So it's a balancing act of coffee in healthy amounts because I really enjoy it and it helps with my productivity and focus in the morning, and then balancing everything else with melatonin at night.
Seems to work. But if SHTF and I need to go like the clappers I have enough legal stimulants to fell your average sized snuffleupagus, and then enough sleeping tablets of both melatonin and OTC knock out darts to drop the same snuffie for 24 hours. What goes up, must come down after all.

Chewing gum, not a stimulant but has been proven to prevent micro sleeps when driving g long distance.
Keeps my concentration going if in training or meetings that are dragging on forever.

Both Sweetie and I are best described as 80%-20% people...
I'm 80% coffee, 20% tea.. She is an 80% tea, 20% coffee drinker..

It doesn't count if you paid for it ROFL I'm not a coffee person, but when I do a long drive to town (400km return) or other really long trips, I'll usually have a bottle of V on standby to give me that extra little bit of stimulation to help on the return journey

That's a particular skill of mine. Corrupted the brains of my kids, my mrs, and started corrupting my grandchildren.
My example, my daughter has a .357 revolver, a sportbike, and a machine gun fetish. My son is into sniper rifles, semi auto pistols and bow hunting. My 4yo grandson is already crazy about guns and motorbikes.
Are there any brains here to corrupt?
