Pseudoscience used to be a derogatory term before they started teaching Lysenkoism 2.0 in our own universities.
These days it is a matter of right wing pseudoscience vs left wing pseudoscience vs corporate boardroom science. The scientific method is dead, and what we have left is ideologues, sharks and morons who think "Science!" is a team to barrack for, or an altar to bow before.

Nothings perfect. For the moment tho, I'll stick with the science.
Particularly in this case where American fringe reporting (on both sides of the divide) have a particularly bad reputation.
Have you actually been to University to see what they do teach?

Bachelor of international studies whilst working for twenty years at UQ doing IT support. I know my way around the system a tiny bit, since I was on the team keeping the elearning system running.
Don't expect to use the "uneducated idiot" card on me, because I have seen more idiots at university than outside of it. Tertiary education had devolved into a sheltered workshop for the intellectually fragile (hence the degradation of science).
If you want to impress me with know how then be an successful self employed tradesman or primary producer. All work, no grift, no safety wheels. If you can get ahead doing that, you can do anything.

Pseudotradies outnumber pseudoscientists 100 to 1.

The challenge of our times is stopping them from burning everything down. Our job is to put fires out and try to keep things working.

Im in that rather unique group that did Electrical Engineering at UNI, and did a trades course at the same time, so I am a tradie and engineer.
I did like the tradie lifestyle and there's money to be made as a tradie, more so than as a Engineer as you set up your own business (solar in our case), have people work for you and get ahead by your own hands.
Governments produce scarcity by shutting off pipelines, shutting down farming operations, taxing productivity and deliberately causing food shortages and inflation. Money printing steals savings from everyone, creating scarcity of the purchasing value of dollars previously earned.

It's been 4 days since the banks were told they only have days left. Have they collapsed yet? Or another false alarm?
How does that saying go? Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
Yawn.

From what i’m seeing they are recovering after the UK reversed their unpopular tax cuts. Expect the same to happen here.
I just got a payrise which is effectively a pay cut, something like 2 and a bit percent rise, lol, the carnts. I’m hoping the paperwork for my new business is finalised soon. Who would have thought an ABN and a business name could take so friggen long to approve…..into the 4th week now.

I actually don't think the crash (when it happens) will be an overnight thing, I think it'll take a little time. Hence considering getting some cash out. I'm nervous about it, but not so much that I'm taking ALL of our money out and hiding it under the mattress. Just a few hundred to squirrel away in case there's another bank system outage when we need to get some groceries. We've got a bit stashed in a safe place now but with inflation playing funny buggers the main driver for my concern on it is that it's no longer enough. So I'm going to grab a bit more out and stash it for a rainy day As for my actual prediction, well. I'll keep that to the the predictions thread! lol.

The crash is happening now, its a slow motion train wreck, but like my headline above says, "Do-not fear the collapse as its necessary to dismantle the evil".
I had/have so many people beating a path to my door, I cant do it all. And they don't want anyone else, so are prepared to wait for months..... And here am I trying to retire ! Don't die with any regrets, like u said, Work hard, play hard and push the doomsayers out of your way.

I think this twitter thread encapsulates the modern "Team Science!" trend perfectly... Rocket ScienceA group of "scientists" (activists) glue themselves to a car showroom then whinge they can't move to eat, poop and piss. The world needs more scientific method, less "scientific" activism.

Aussie Bank Begins Linking Customer Transactions To Carbon Footprintwww.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/aussie-bank-begins-linking-customer-transactions-carbon-footprintA person’s carbon footprint is calculated and then an ‘equivalent’ metric is show to make the customer feel guilty about it, such as “8 trees being cut”. “By combining our rich customer data and CoGo’s industry-leading capability in measuring carbon outputs, we will be able to provide greater transparency for customers so that they can take actionable steps to reduce their environmental footprint,” CommBank Group executive Angus Sullivan said in a statement. The bank has promised to refine the calculation down to showing how much CO2 individual purchases are responsible for. Time to go back to cash.

Already done so, no tracing our grocery purchases anymore via the trail a card leaves. Easier to budget as well.

Do we get an offset for 1000s of acres of trees?
3065/8 = 383 Km per tree.
Maybe we can ransom the trees? Give me carbon credits or the trees cop it (send a leaf as proof)
1 tree of firewood = 393Km of fuel, approx say 30L...

Thats the formula I use for wood gas. Add totally off grid with renewable heating (wood) and our credit score must be in the zillions !

Ties all your purchases together and makes em trackable, even when using cash. Pollies/media will want someone to blame when shelves become empty and preppers are the obvious choice... (even though our preps are done well before any crisis). Someone will need to be sacrificed to the angry mob and it won't be those responsible.

Our Rewards cards are in false names, not our real ones. As are my e mail addresses.
