Those robots wig me the EFF out. I don't care what anyone says, I have childhood trauma that stems back to 1980s sci fi with big bads that were robots (Robocop's ED-209, S.A.I.N.Ts prototypes 1-4 in Short Circuit, and oh I don't know... Terminators...) any kind of militaristic robotics gives me the willies. I saw Boston Dynamic's Big Dog when the first test videos came out in the early aughts and instantly had a 'oh heck no' response hahaha.

I always liked Tex Arcane. Especially how he actually bothered to build his own shelter and share his lessons learned - the humidity was always going to be a problem in hindsight, but its good he showed it !!
He was pretty wacky and some of his ideas were unpleasant or lets be frank, anti-semetic, but lots of interesting information on his blog.
Surprised he is still alive, I would have thought the shadowy hidden governement would have assassinated by now ;-)

Not the type to be intimidated easily, he was pretty street smart and a former US soldier I still think his decision to go dark after all those years was ominous. |

Ha. I completely agree…… when he posted he had been warned off and shut down his blog…. I just assumed he had been!!
The further I go in my life and more times I sign the official information act for various things the more paranoid I get!!
