After a visit to the local tip to get rid of rubbish, I always check out whats in the electronics bins. Quite often there is something useful and there always seems to be portable DVD players and notebook/laptop PC's etc.
I now collect them as they make great targets for shooting practice.
A tablet PC is around 10 inches across, a good size to aim for at 20 meters plus, and when u hit them, a satisfying noise is created. Sometimes, even smoke can issue from a punctured battery and that adds to the fun !
Most seem to contain the damage well without allowing much broken glass etc to escape.
All in all, very satisfying use of technology, and I'm sure we would love to have done that to the kids "noise makers" at some stage or another ! Revenge is a sweet thud !
Enjoy this moment of your life before it becomes a memory you wish you hadn’t taken for granted.

More cheap targets are the actual microprocessor chip. It simply unplugs from the motherboard and is usually around 2 inches square, a good target to aim for at 20 meters. And having a metal backing, usually makes a satisfying noise when you manage to hit it.
And we are talking about pinking with a air rifle or 22, bigger calibers just destroy the target !
The closer the collapse of an empire, the crazier its laws.

I’m a buy once, cry once sorta guy. So I buy quality steel targets from STS. They last forever and even the .50BMG didn’t make a hole (although it left a nasty dimple).
Got a life size rabbit and fox on the way, for the boys to have some fun with at the upcoming meet.
