A lot of nasty footage coming out of the region and as much as I despise seeing it, in general I think it's good for humanity to see. Unlike in the past, we need to be under no illusion that war sucks.

Be careful of watching the train wreck though. It can be hard to look away. Desensitisation is desirable when it's a scenario that you can't avoid it (ie. it's your actual day job to view/interact with morally injurious media etc) while you have to deal with the stimulus. But everyone has to pay the ferryman eventually and it can sneak up on you so suddenly it'll take the wind out of your sails. Our lizard brains don't know the difference between viewing negative stimulus behind the safety of a screen, and being physically where the danger is.
So while it can take longer for that trauma to become embedded because we're able to rationalise that we're safe while viewing it, our irrational lizard brain doesn't tend to listen to that no matter how logical our ape brain is being.

Anyone who has watched a head explode from a high velocity round doesn’t forget it in a hurry. Visit TheYNC website if you’re curious, but be warned, it is very graphic.
