I wish Australians would riot like that. These days it's just foreigners and far-leftists who do it during protests and they usually get their way eventually. Unfortunately we have become too apathetic. The lockdown protests is the biggest thing to happen in a long time and probably 98% of those involved cleared away quickly once the police rolled in

They'll arrange a criminally expensive Study Tour to go check this out for implementation in Oz! The current Federal Minister heading this portfolio is Chris Bowen.......on that fact I rest my case!

A quote from the above:- "Boris Pistorius, Germany’s defence minister, this week predicted all-out war between Russia and NATO “within five to eight years”. Carl-Oskar Bohlin, Sweden’s Minister for Civil Defence, told civilians they must be war-ready, “Are you a private individual? Have you considered whether you have time to join a voluntary defence organisation? If not: get moving!” Ahead of its entry to NATO, Sweden has recently reintroduced a form of national conscription."My favourite bit:-
“Are you a private individual? Have you considered whether you have time to join a voluntary defence organisation? If not: get moving!”
And I say go get farked! Oh and on further reading I found this little gem:- "Thousands more angrily denounced the mere suggestion of military conscription. Comments on Twitter/X included, “National service? Rich people asking poor people to die for a country they give zero f***s about”, and: “If they think, for one second that they’re sending my 21 year old son to be cannon fodder for rich idiots who can’t govern, they can f*** right off. Literally, over my dead body.”

"So if you go off-grid power and use battery storage they still tax you for providing your own power "
These dumb fools have suddenly woken up to the fact that they are missing out on tax revenue from electric power usage and cant figure out a way to tax private power generation. Standby for solar/wind/hydro tax and perhaps even a power meter, govt installed and tamper-proof, so they can tax power usage, just like on grid grid power is taxed.
They will have their hands full out here !
Can't learn to do it well ? Learn to enjoy doing it badly !

Thank goodness I did my military service and am now too old to be drafted, and cant see well enough !!HI. Many states in the US it is illegal to to have rain water harvesting from your roof. In NSW there was panic over climate change made it mandatory to install water capture for toilets and washing etc. Just like they spent millions on desalinisation plants that have never been used, as all the dams will dry by 2012. Now the dams are overflowing and it is a result of climate change!!!!!! A few years back I read an article that Spain has one of the highest uptake of roof solar systems.. Causing major problems for energy companies. Next to power generation the supply transfer infrastructure (lines and transformers) are very costly to maintain. If half the town has roof solar and one is not paying levies for transfer infrastructure then the power company has a major cost blowout. In Aus the rebate from solar is getting less and less as a subsidy tax. As discussed already tax on EV vehicles is now a thing - doing cost benefit analysis of owning EV vs diesel has to take into account new taxes, like with roof top solar people were told will get the money back 3-5years, then Gov reduced the rebate by 80%.

Literally, over my dead body.”There are a lot of horrifying things from mainstream politicians in those articles. Conscription, prepare for war, Governments across the world are upping military spending. Been watching videos of how WW1 started and escalated. All the same things are occurring, lack of trust, negotiations failing, UN found corrupt and now ineffective, After Afghanistan people no-longer fear the US - a few year back it was unheard off attacking a US ship, there was real fear of retaliation. Turkey now has a dictator, loss of freedom of press etc... but part of NATO. Chinese arrogance has no bounds. US elections and polarisation, southern border immigration into the US is a full scale invasion. Trade wars lead to HOT WARS, struggling economies. All the things are in place for a big smash.. Chinese stocks have lost $6 trillion in 3 years. Here’s what you need to knowedition.cnn.com/2024/01/23/investing/china-stock-market-losses-explained/index.html#:~:text=Chinese%20stocks%20have%20suffered%20heavy,support%20the%20country's%20struggling%20economy. The world’s second largest economy is plagued by a myriad of problems. They include a record downturn in real estate, deflation, debt, a falling birthrate and shrinking work force, as well as a shift towards ideology-driven policies that has rattled the private sector and scared away foreign firms.

This is madness. The data over-reach is already in plague proportions. But really, this is aimed at preventing people from becoming independent with their energy, because that's not what socialists want. Socialists want you dependent on government controlled oil and government controlled electricity. Their nightmare is someone with their own off grid setup in a car that they can't prevent from refuelling.

Remember you are dealing with Australian Politicians who on average are serious darmfarks! They'll arrange a criminally expensive Study Tour to go check this out for future implementation in Oz! The current Federal Minister heading this portfolio is Chris Bowen.......on that fact I rest my case! Yeah, but also remember there are a large number of Australian politicians who are in the pockets of the fossil fuel industry. Anything that makes it harder for renewables is something they will embrace. Notice the spike in people who all of a sudden started 'caring' about kids in the Congo working in Cobalt mines as soon as they worked out Cobalt was used in batteries? Same thing here. The Greens will of cours back it and they'll have the numbers.

Steelman take on this. If conscription/national service in the UK really does go ahead, the flood of illegal immigrants into the UK will end in once they realise they can't just sponge off the system and may be sent to fight.

So is basic training for Nashos the same as for volunteers? Like when my daughter was at Kapooka every recruit had their own 88 and 89 kept in their room. Not DP either, fully functional. And like they could park their cars on base also. How many Lebs forced to be Nashos will just put the automatic weapons in the boot of their WRX and drive home to Bankstown?

While China is having a major stock market collapse due to construction companies failing, Australia is not doing too good. Australian construction company St Hilliers goes into administrationwww.abc.net.au/news/2024-02-05/construction-company-st-hilliers-goes-into-admininistration/103428320Major construction company St Hilliers has been placed into voluntary administration, halting work on 21 multimillion-dollar development projects around Australia. WLP Restructuring was appointed as voluntary administrator of seven entities within the Sydney-based St Hilliers group of companies on Sunday.

I grew up with the cold war looming over us. The end is nigh etc. I started prepping of sorts when I was 16 through terror really. I think it's normal for governments to create situations and to create an atmosphere of everything's going to heck to keep us from noticing the bull-crap they pull. The drama with the housing is insane, all caused by gov. bringing in more migrants faster than the builders could build the houses. It's great for them. Climate catastrophy, wars, covid etc, all the same thing, create chaos to frighten people into submission. This is narcissistic behavior 101, which is most likely who they all are.
So do I think that WW3 is almost here, nah. It might be, though the boy has shouted wolf too much for myself at this point and there's nothing I can do about it if it were to kick off. I am prepped enough for a while for most things, so done what I can and now I'm just going to go on with life not really giving a shit about what the latest scare tactic is, real or made up. In the end, living my life as well as I can means a lot more. At least then my insurance [preps] covers a life well lived.

Quote from a dummy: Climate scientists are developing an umbrella-like shade the size of Argentina that would block the sun’s rays to mitigate the effects of global warming on Earth.
The wild idea comes from Israeli researchers who believe the one-million-square-mile shade could reduce the Earth’s temperature by 2.7 degrees Fahrenheit within two years.
The team at Technion-Israel Institute of Technology is seeking up to $20 million for a prototype of 100 square feet, which they said could be achieved by 2027.
Bwahahaha. If it’s $US20 million for a 100 square foot shade, how much for the one million square mile shade? There’s not enough money in the world to pay for that. No wonder a raggedy bunch of goat lovers are handing the IDF their butts with Israel’s intelligentsia are this stupid.
