In regards to AI, Elon is adamant that AI will be open source and I reckon he will win. Grok is already outpacing chat GTP and all the talent is going with Elon's companies. I would therefore be inclined to look for opportunities on the hardware that can run AI - high end silicon, companies involved in data centres, and companies that specialise in powering them.

I’m sure whilst some people are feeling economic hardship, others are doing very well. Same as it’s always been. These bloggers do make money out of posting. Some are more honest than others. Michael does good post and states relevant facts and quotes all his evidence that things as they are. It has got so crazy even main stream media are now posting about possible recession and more likely depression. US election is 4 months away there is only one outcome total chaos. Busy getting my last preps done like every medical issue sorted. One more trip to the dentist then I am done. Had a bit of dental work as did not go to a dentist for 34years. |

We will see, we already have around 6 months stored for the 11 of us, aiming for 2 years food. Water and electric is OK, as is waste disposal, firewood for heating and transport, if needed and machinery, using the gasifier.
Have adequate ammo for several years, even using a dozen rounds or so, per night on the cane toads.
Measure twice, cut once....

Just perusing some prepper sites, mostly in the US, and what strikes me is that a lot of so called preppers are going to choof off to their BOL's to wait out the collapse for a few months, then think they will be going back to their 'normal' life when things get back to normal. Things will never be 'back to normal' after the fall, we will need to survive on our own efforts. Govts are not going to be of help and indeed will not be part of the ultimate solution to restore 'normalcy' of some kind.
Local markets will flourish, along with a barter economy where knowing how to do something will be the new currency.
Wild food will be offered, but beware as most of it is full of worms and parasites, especially wild pigs.
Your hopes, dreams, aspirations, well being, and freedom do not matter. You do not matter. You never did.

A 1970 SWB Landrover diesel, 100 % made in Australia. Still has a generator, not alternator, mechanical everything, and should be completely EMP/CME proof.
The more I see, the less I know for sure.
