This poster has a number of videos about making homemade meals in a jar.. I like her approach to doing this as it is close to the recopies I developed that would survive in a cold climate.. I'm going look up as many of her videos as I can find... About the only 2 major differences I see is I used soup base as a seasoning instead of boullion as bullion is too salty for my taste.. I also tried to use more local grocery store seasonings, and home dehydrated ingredients to not have to go to the internet for as little used as possible.. For instance dried peas are easily available, frozen mixed veggies are easily home dehydrated.. You get the idea.. Here are just a few videos available.... www.youtube.com/@homesteadcorner/videos

I love this idea. Very simple to do if you're trying to lay things away that will store for a long time. And even better, you could throw in a couple of moisture absorbing packs to keep them good for a year or two. You could also make them a 'stew' of sorts by adding a little cornflour and milk powder into the bullion. And I'm talking, an eighth of a teaspoon of cornflour and maybe a tablespoon of fat-free milk powder.
And the best thing about this idea is that you can just use left over jam jars for single serves, or larger pasta sauce jars for two serves. No need to buy expensive canning jars. Op shops (thrift stores) usually have an abundance of glass jars as well. At least they did last time I looked. So even if you felt like doing a whole huge batch in one go and didn't have jars stored up from previous use you could just go buy some cheap ones from an op shop and do it all at once.
