I remember when the first series aired it got a bit of interest in another thread here...well he's back - new Reacher series is due Dec 15th.
This guy's a monster...bigger than in the first series!

I have listened to a number of Jack Reacher stories as audio books... ...Advertised as.. A movie in your mind... Listened to them while working in the kitchen usually..
I saw the movie ..Tom Cruise ??.. Wasn't impressed with him, but the story was good.. This new series will be interesting to see.. Thanks for the heads up...

I'm keen for the second series. Definitely was a great show!
And in fairness Tim, I refuse to watch the Tom Cruise movie because he simply wasn't a good cast for Reacher in my opinion. He's a great actor (weird religious status aside) but the whole thing about Reacher is supposed to be that he's a huge bloke that somehow weirdly manages to blend in and disappear in a crowd. That is absolutely not Tom Cruise, no matter how cleverly angled shots and high cuban heals he wears🤣.

You should give them a go Stealth...I actually found the Cruise Reachers (the first in particular) quite good. Fortunately I hadn't read any of the books before I saw them, but to be quite frank, the movies out-did the books! I find them pretty lame.

Reacher is pretty much the only tom cruise movies I've watched since he went all scientology and got put off him, that and not letting the mission impossible series die off lol |

The thing in the audio books on CD that always made me chuckle was when they got into a situation then said ...and Reacher said nothing....

I agree with your assessment, although the series is still watchable. A bit disappointed they changed location for this series.

It's still pretty good, but I'll admit to a bit of annoyance that they had to add a love interest into this one as well. I know they don't have much time to fit a whole story in but it feels like that's a story line that's already be done. That being said I haven't read to books so it's possible that that's a constant theme. If it is... Weeeeell, I like my characters to be well written enough that they can stand alone without needing a spicy bit of story to make them interesting. I'm enjoying it so far though so it can't be that bad!

I’ve just read the new Reacher novel “the secret”. It’s not that good. Reads like it’s being written by a child, and I don’t mean a Lee or Andrew Child. It’s a flimsy, totally unrealistic, woke storyline better suited to a comic.

Ive only read a few of the Reacher books, they are all pretty bad I thought. I have a lot and usually enjoy them. They are normally fairly detailed with quite a few plot twists, but this latest book looks like it was written over a weekend. Total woke fantasy, like an unarmed female former soldier taking on four highly trained, armed men at the same time and beating them up whilst telling them never to underestimate girl power. |

Interesting. I bought the latest Reacher for my F.I.L for Xmas and he's a bit to the Right of Attila the Hun & Genghis Khan in his world view so I'll be interested to hear his view on it.
