It's definitely made the priority of an on-site water source and robust sprinkler system a big concern for our next property. We've been looking at some areas that aren't on town water but this season may determine whether or not that's an acceptable option. Definitely does into the risk assessment, that's for sure!

We have our own fire trailer, several actually placed at strategic spots, roof sprinklers, fixed fire hoses on buildings, a multi mega liter dam equipped with both electric and Honda pumps, I also have my own drip torch and fire lighting gear.
War is hell, especially if you are in the middle of it.

So wet here at present even Napalm probably would fizzle !
Still, its a good amount of sub surface moisture for the next crops that will be planting towards the middle of next month.
I'm retired, your not. Have fun at work tomorrow.

Applied for a permit over 2 months ago. The local commander said that he had seen the application, but not done anything about it, so I saw red......
I wrote a e mail and didn't hold back, after all, I was sacked from the RFS for not disclosing my jab status, so have no conflicts.
Told them that if something happened to our property and anything was damaged due to a bush-fire, I would have their arses. They would be sued for a motza for incompetence amongst other things. The result was a few days later a phone call from the local brigade captain asking what I did to set them all off, when I told him, he said that he was authorized to write out a permit for whatever I wanted to burn, whenever and with no time limits.
Sometimes you just have to kick bureaucracy in the teeth, hard.
At his suggestion, we will be holding several training days here for the new members shortly.
Look out for the smoke !!!!
I believe that someone is trying to send us a message, but hardly anyone is listening…
