I grew up around all the old Scandinavian, Bohemian, Czech, Polish you name the culture winter holiday home baked goods... Breads, puddings, fruit cakes, cookies you name it... This is still how my sweet tooth goes and is my greatest bad eating down fall... I still have a craving for all this, just can't handle and work off the quantities I could when younger and much more active.. It being summer there for the holidays.. Do you do baked goods over and above a family meal ?? How do you handle this ?? A few examples... feelingfoodish.com/kolache/www.pinterest.ca/pin/736268239060063259/redstaryeast.com/recipes/rich-fruit-bread/

I have a massive thing for pfeffernusse, it ain't Christmas without it! I don't bake them though, I'm not a very good baker if I'm honest so I always grab a bag from a decent brand haha. I'm definitely a sweet tooth as well and I agree that it's a dangerous time of year. Sweet treats are everywhere and delicious. I also love panettone, we just cleared off a chocolate chip one and it was AMAZING. Thankfully because of our migration history we have a lot of holiday treats from around the world so you'll probably get a varied response depending on each person's background or cultural group.

Chocolate in Panettone is sacrilegious!
Will be plenty of traditional Panettone with Tiramisu for Xmas desert at my digs.

Absolutely... But it's freakin' delicious hahahaha! That with a nice fresh berry-heavy double shot espresso *happy sigh*.
