I saw and now can't find again, a short you tube that the ammo manufacturer Sellers & Belloite (a Czech company ??) was sold... Not sure to whom.. S&B does a considerable business in North America.. The concern of the poster being ammo availability could be severely compromised quite easily in North America if the owners of these companies chose to do that by what ever motivation of the moment.. The world wide trend of ammo manufactures being owned by possibly ..less friendly.. companies, in possibly ..less friendly.. countries seems the norm lately... ??
Facts, details, rumors, thoughts ??

Surprised Black Rock haven't been buying these companies out. They seem to own everything else.

Pistol primers are back in stock, but no powder. Desperados who didn’t stock up are having to buy shotgun cartridges and cut them up for the powder.
I got 4kg a while ago from a contact, got enough for 18,000 rounds, so I’m good for over 60 years (you only need to shoot 280 rounds a year to keep your licence current).

I don't think, therefore I am not I can get through 1000 rounds in a morning, but the legal requirement is 4 matches per year per category, or 6 matches if you only have one category pistol. A centrefire match can take as little as 70 rounds. I bet you don’t go through 180 centrefire rounds in 15 minutes, not as $2 to $4 each.

Yeah are we not talking about WORL, no more ammo in shops, how much does one need for farm maintenance, pest control, hunting. Other uses may be required when Mad Max appears in his leathers driving a 1973 Ford Falcon XB GT Coupe.

Nope, for "competitions", .22 are still reasonably cheap, and for fun, the .177 air rifle is hard to beat, and cheap to feed as well. Works excellently on cane toads.
Tell the truth, then run.

Trivia.. Occasionally every summer as young guys, my big brother and I would go prairie dog shooting on a friends place... One of the rifles brother had was an old (early 1950s?) Winchester model 70 heavy barrel in 220 Swift caliber... He would take a minimum of about 1000 reloads for that, plus other rifles.. It would get so hot it would cook off shells in the chamber.. We would go to another pasture and dog town and shoot 22lr until his Swift cooled off...

22 Lr is slight overkill for the cane toads. the round goes straight through it and bounces off the ground back at you. Air rifle is much nicer and safer !
Saving the bigger rounds, 223, 5.56 etc for 'real' work, such as wild pigs. Even a 12 g slug will dispatch a wild pig, makes a bit of a mess though.
Toad muster on this friday, if the weather is OK, so the troops and me will be going. charging up the headlamp battery's, and want to see weather the IR works to spot 'em. It should as they are cold, against a warm background, so they will be black, or dark, in the right color pallet.
First toad turned up on Plain Stations Road yesterday, over the river. Its WW3 against them now !
Friends come and go, a strong man takes crap then goes home to his wife and kids and laughs it off.
